George Pringle Secondary School Project

Project Description

The Board of Education of School District No. 23 working with Clark Builders to design and build a new George Pringle Secondary School. The Project will be built at 3770 Elliott Rd, West Kelowna. The building will be constructed utilizing the newest technologies and will implement sustainable strategies to achieve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by adding a geothermal system. The project will be procured using a design-build model to provide the best value to British Columbians.

Features of this business opportunity include:

    1. the design and construction of a new 1,200 student secondary school;
    2. New sports fields;
    3. Geothermal System; and
    4. A Neighbourhood Learning Centre comprised of:
      • childcare (age range 0-4)
      • Indigenous cultural space
      • children and family resources
    5. the opportunity to address a critical infrastructure need for the Owner;
    6. strong government and Owner support for the Project; and
    7. an interactive competitive selection process in which shortlisted teams and the Owner will have the opportunity to discuss key elements of the Project, including procurement and design issues, as well as provisions of the Design-Build Agreement such as appropriate risk allocations.
