Lions Gate Hospital (LGH) is the urban hub of the Coastal Community of Care and serves as an important resource and the major referral hospital for more than 270,000 residents from the North Shore, Sea-to-Sky, Sunshine Coast, Powell River and Central Coast communities, including Bella Bella and Bella Coola.

As a recognized Level 3 Trauma Centre, LGH provides a full range of general and specialized acute care services including general medicine, emergency and critical care, general surgery, orthopaedics, maternity, pediatrics, psychiatry, chemotherapy, cardiac care, diagnostics, nuclear medicine, palliative care, rehabilitative services and neurosurgery.

Project Description:  The scope of the project includes:

• The design and construction of a new six story acute care facility fully integrated and connected to the adjacent existing Paul Myers South Tower, Northern Expansion and Hope Centre buildings, to include new clinical, administrative, support and amenity spaces for 108 inpatient beds, perioperative services, medical device reprocessing and urgent/primary care clinics;
• The design and construction of related minor renovations on Levels 0-2 in adjacent Paul Myers South Tower and Northern Expansion buildings.
